For anyone who is planning to submit to our festival, we ask for you to fill in a quick pre-registration form. This will be used to keep you updated on various announcements we may have in regards to your submission. We don’t and won’t spam you! We are excited to announce our official call for submissions! Here are the important points:

• Submitted films must be under 20 minutes
• We accept films of any genre
• Student filmmaker must be currently enrolled in high school or an undergraduate college or university
• DVD format highly preferred, however Mini-DV formats will also be accepted

Here are the important deadlines:

• Early Deadline – $10 – January 22nd, 2008
• Regular Deadline – $15 – February 29th, 2008
• Late Deadline – $20 – March 5th, 2008
  

This year, we are happy to announce that in addition to having your film screened in front of hundreds of people and having a panel of film-industry professionals and professors judge the top ten selected films, we will also be giving out cash prizes in addition to glass statuettes in the following categories:

• Best Picture – $400 prize
• Best Directed – $100 prize
• Best Screenplay – $50 prize
• Concord Award - $50 prize – best film as voted by the audience
• Best Editing
• Best Cinematography
• Best Acting
• Opus Award - for best use of music and sound
• Frontiers Award – for most original film
• Gateway Award – for an outstanding film of a humanitarian nature or a film dedicated to community service
