The Booby Trap

The Booby Trap

Simon Pennekamp (Director),
Eric Bednarowicz (Producer),
Jeremy Peruski (Producer)

Simon Pennekamp is a middle child from the Midwest with a decent mid-range jump shot. He successfully graduated from high school as valedictorian with no tangible goals or foreseeable future of any kind. After hemming and hawing through a few pointless years of higher education, he was finally struck with a serendipitous epiphany, not unlike a blow to the head, that his path was making movies. Initially claiming that he only wanted to be a part, any part, of Hollywood he cherished so much as a child, he later proved himself a borderline masochist by dedicating his efforts to becoming a feature film director. Currently he is happily married and living in Chicago.

Eric Bednarowicz is an award-winning filmmaker from Chicago, IL. Eric both directs and produces, and has also freelanced for several household names including: MTV, Microsoft, Summit Entertainment, The Discovery Channel, BET, and Fuse TV. Eric is currently developing his first feature film. As a director-producer, Bednarowicz is the winner of back-to-back ‘Best In Class’ awards for films created while at Columbia College, and is a finalist director in both The Apple ‘Insomnia’ and The NOKIA ‘Your Chicago’ Film Competitions. In his spare time, Eric works year-round at The Midwest Independent Film Festival and is a full-time volunteer at the Sundance Film Festival.

Jeremy Peruski, a Detroit native, graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Video. He has worked on projects, in various capacities, that have aired on ESPN, PBS and NBC. In 2008, Jeremy had two short films screen at the internationally known Cannes Film Festival, “Ends Runway” and “Lost & Found.” Jeremy plans to move to L.A. to pursue a career as a producer.

Columbia College Chicago:
